I know everyone says "I don't usually write reviews, but." Well I guess I'm like everyone else because I don't really write reviews, good or bad, but. My son and I have brand new laptops and we thought the keyboard cases looked cool. While searching for colors we like, we came across these plastic laptop cases that contained keyboard covers. The prices weren't much higher than the keyboard cases alone, so we each got one. Almost immediately, I noticed strange smudges on my computer's turquoise surface. I thought it was some kind of fingerprint oil transfer or something, although I cleaned the laptop before putting the lid on. I left it alone to clean later. After a few more days, the stains were so bad that I decided to clean them right away. I took the lid off and noticed that the stains were only on the inside of the lid and not on the laptop. Try cleaning the plastic cover with water and then mild detergent. Nothing worked. I assumed my lid had gone bad and the light color showed the imperfections all too clearly. However, my son just showed me that his red cover is all dirty and the keyboard cases are fun and protect the keyboard itself from dust, crumbs etc. I recommend buying ONLY a keyboard case and avoiding stains on the case at all costs laptop.
