I have recently got into smoking meat and needed something to rest my meat in. This was affordable and a good size. I guess I did not think of the lining not being heat resistant. So I have only used it once but when I laid my wrapped meat into it and let rest for an hour or so. When I pulled the meat out I found the lining was slightly melted. I think it will be okay, but need to find something lay in the bottom of before using again.Otherwise I like the idea of a collapsible chest to make it easy to store.
