NEW KEYBOARD Backlight failure Deal I bought my second Macally keyboard a week ago, a SLIM USB keyboard with 2 USB ports (to replace my old one version of the same). and the "CAPS LOCK" light no longer works. The buttons work well, but who would have expected it to stop so soon. In this photo, the display shown only shows the power supply, not the lid latches. Mac OS issue causing the Caps Lock indicator circuit to turn off after the MAC goes to sleep and the keyboard doesn't fully "wake up" and the "FIX" is to unplug the USB and then plug it back into USB. And YES it works, but what a pain. Unfortunately I had an earlier version of this keyboard which I still prefer for the large keys and non-metallic finish, but it is no longer made and one day it just stopped working. Not just one key stops, but the ENTIRE keyboard. Go Fig. If I could find another Mac keyboard with USB ports I would consider it. Other issues: Good: > The buttons are responsive, although I prefer a full-size button. or 4 ports would be better and they would be on the side instead of in front of the KB > Buttons are easy to see in low light Bad: > New version REFLECTS ANY overhead/nearby light into the eyes and causes glare - very annoying > * I only use 1 -A computer keyboard 2 hours a day
