Quality vacuum bags, cost effective

In order to save as much as possible when shopping we typically buy in bulk and then vacuum and freeze portions for later use. I have tried many different bags and rolls of products over the years and I can tell you that I will not be buying any "rolls" of bags in the future. It's too cumbersome to create a pouch every time you want to seal something, and the seal you create on the pouch is always the weakest part of the sealing process. When you buy pre-packaged bags you only create a seal and I find that seals are much more reliable in the long run. I have a Foodsaver bag sealer and these bags work great. You don't have space to write the date or product description on the bag, but with a marker or similar pen, it's easy to write the date and other information directly on the bag. I always buy "thicker" bags. according to the description and I think they are average of the ones I bought. The thickest packs I've found are Foodsaver's GameSaver packs, but they are very expensive and generally no better than these. With this bag I have not seen any pockets with holes or pockets that would otherwise be considered defective or leaking. I am aware that some mass produced bags are of lower quality with broken seals and/or holes or weaknesses in the material, but I have not found this to be the case with these bags. Based on my experience I would order them again.
