Let's start with the fact that they look fatter in the picture than they really are. You need to flatten the fabric to get this look. As other reviews have noted, some of these are micro suede which is great for staying on your head and not slipping through your hair. They fit tighter than other materials that are ribbed t-shirt fabrics. These were a little looser. I prefer a tight fit. However, I'm sending them back because they don't look cute as a headband with my hair in a bun. I'm not a fan of slick back hairstyles, they don't help hold back the flyaways. Also, the turban-style overlap at the front sticks out and makes your head look oddly pointed. Wearing them with hair loose at the hairline gives you a boho hippie look which is cute but it didn't work for me as I always leave my hair loose.
