Even before I bought my iPod touch I started looking for cases to protect it. As the owner of a Creative Zen M that has been transported for the last 6 years I couldn't even count the number of times I've dropped it and I'm surprised it has lasted so long. With this update, I knew it would be important to apply some impact protection. While there are plenty of other cases that offer serious impact protection, the trade-off is significant. I found it hard to get excited about a case that would double or more double the thickness of a device that had a slim profile as one of its main selling points. After looking at a seemingly endless number of cases, this one seemed to meet my desired specs. It fits the iPod perfectly and adds minimal bulk to the device. The back lets the color of the device show through, and the camera and strap cutouts match perfectly. The power and volume controls are also exactly the same and control the device without any change in function. Note: If you happen to be using an adapter this would be a good case as the entire underside is exposed as shown in the photo. There is a raised section around the front glass section to protect it from impact if it falls face down. Rubberized edges provide a comfortable grip surface and make it easier to grip. I'm not sure if this device is suitable for a young person whose device can survive many serious falls. It may also not fit in a very tight tote bag. As an adult, I'm sure this case will suit me. I also applied a high impact Invisible Shield to my front glass to protect the glass from direct impacts. There is a minimal gap at the edges between the invisible screen and the cover. I've had the case and my iPod for over a month now. It is used daily and kept in bags and cases throughout the day. There are some small scratches on the transparent part of the case, and they will increase over time, but my real iPod shows no signs of scratches or wear, and that's the main point. My iPod has been dropped from about waist height once or twice and it wears just as well. Barring cracks or other structural issues over time, I will definitely buy this case again.
