I need a coffee machine for one cup, but capsule coffee machines don't interest me. My ancient but favorite cup maker barista sold by Starbucks in the olden days finally couldn't take it anymore. Manufacturers advertised as "one cup" didn't seem like what I wanted so I decided to try 4 cups and change them up. I've always preferred a cone to a flat one, which limits the choices. I chose this product based on what can go wrong at this price point. I am very happy. Great: Uses #2 cone filter (take out the one that came with the kit) which I bought in bulk. Uses coffee of my choice, not capsules. Quiet and fast. The coffee is hot, just the way I like it. The anti-drip function works. Big power button. easy to find Must know: there are not exactly 4 cups. When filled to "4", only 2 1/2 cups. I fill up to 3 to get coffee for my 16oz travel mug. Experiment with the amount for the right flavor. I pour coffee into a cup and set it down. Not sure if it stops heating after an hour
