Why change lightbulbs. fits lightbulb

Given the price of lighting kits, why would you change bulbs? Answer: pre-lit trees. Bought after a row of 50 had a cascading failure. This happens when several bulbs on a string burn out and overload the remaining bulbs until they light up very brightly and blow the "anti-fuse" that is there to keep the string lit when one or two bulbs burn out. This hides the entire row. Success Tip: Power up the tree and pull all the bulbs out of the completely burned out chain. If you pull a lightbulb and the other filament goes out, replace the lightbulb and come back to turn that filament back on. After pulling all the lightbulbs out of the bad chain, count them! Make sure you have 50, if not keep looking. Once all 50 bulbs are out, replace each bulb and return to the chain. After the last bulb has been replaced, the chain should turn back on and you can be sure that all the bulbs in that chain are good. if it does not light up, check the fuse in the plug. Replace any blown bulbs immediately to avoid cascading failures. They are ideal for 50 strings. However, always check the lamp value on the label next to the plug.
