Review on 🍴 Munchkin 6-Piece Fork and Spoon Set - Blue, Green, and Orange by David Pirlet

Not recommended - chews with white teeth

I've always loved Munchkin products, I like Miracle 360 mugs and metal forks/spoons. When my son was moved to the toddler room at daycare and needed plastic self-sufficiency utensils instead of the metal ones we sent to daycare, I willingly bought Munchkin utensils as I always thought their brand was the best. High quality. Not so with this plastic bowl. While the utensil piece itself is fine (though not necessarily easy to pierce/scoop compared to metal), the white handle is dangerous. We tested them out at dinner to see if my son could handle using them in place of his metal handles and the white handle was damaged after being hit in the mouth. I was so afraid that he would bite off and swallow the white part if he used it in kindergarten that I threw them all away. I ended up buying another brand that had a stiffer grip and actually pierced food slightly better (Sperric- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SV57LRY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I will continue to buy other Munchkin products, especially ones I trust like 360 mugs and metal utensils, but this plastic utensil makes me wonder if I want to deviate from products I already know from this brand.

Pros
  • Deep spoons to hold more food and make scooping easier
Cons
  • Very expensive
