The SLED design is excellent. As a bassist I had to work really hard to get the mix right. Without a bass amp on stage, the ports seemed to minimize low frequencies - it should also be understood that these aren't 5-speaker headphones, so aren't necessarily designed for big bass. I eventually found a lucky spot with them, but my much cheaper multi-driver bus took first place in bass. As a guitarist and singer they are great. As long as you don't look for thorough discrimination in your low frequency instruments, they will give you what you need. If you sing in church and don't like the "off" feeling that fully sealed bud gives, this might be what you're looking for. In terms of comfort you couldn't ask for better, they come with plenty of silicone and foam tips to help you find the right size for your ears.
