My children and I suffer from allergies, we live in Maryland, where in the summer it rains heavily, the humidity and temperature gets worse. Good sign it's working and later I hosed the water straight down the drain in the basement and actually got it out of the house which is great as you no longer have to empty the bucket. As for power consumption, I did. I've noticed a slight increase in my electric bill, but that's an extra $20, not too bad. My only concern is that at low speeds the fan is quiet and you can sleep with it, but at high speeds it's quite noticeable, you probably won't want to run it in the bedroom while you sleep. You can use it during the day. This 30 liter dehumidifier is lightweight and portable, making it easy to move from room to room. It also comes with an auto shut off feature so you know when it's time to swap out the tank. I think a good dehumidifier should have a controller that measures the amount of water in the air. If the relative humidity drops below 50%, the humidity value is automatically detected and continuously adjusted. Save on electricity bills and keep the air neither too dry nor too humid. This humidifier has been working for me for about three weeks but so far so good. It successfully dehumidifies the air quickly and efficiently and keeps my basement humidity at 50 (50 is ideal). I felt the difference in space. I have noticed that my sinuses feel better and clearer during use. Overall it's a good price and has a lot of features that I like.
