Review on Huion H420 Graphics Drawing Tablet by Jeremy Choi

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product good customer service from Lightwish

I am very happy to have this item since I started learning digital painting. I was amazed to find such a product at such a low price and it seemed suitable for those who have never used a digital drawing device before. There were some problems with the order. The first batch did not reach my apartment (for reasons not yet known) - although it was listed as delivered on Revain. I contacted Lightwish through Revain's feedback function (since unfortunately China Post doesn't take calls in English) and was eventually able to get another package sent to me. The support rep was very helpful and prompt and I was able to have another unit shipped to my local UPS shop within a week. After receiving and opening the device, I was really impressed. I loved it so much I didn't even read the instructions. I put the CD in, installed the driver in just a minute, plugged in the tablet and it was ready to go. Basically, it just replaces your mouse. that at first it seemed like I was driving for the first time, but over time I got used to it. It took some time to get used to holding the pen properly and not pressing the two buttons on the side. I immediately launched my completely outdated Photoshop 7 and prayed I wouldn't have to upgrade to use my new device. Amazingly, the tablet not only works well in Photoshop 7, but also takes full advantage of some of the program's standard features. For example, one of the pen buttons switches the cursor to an eraser by default, and the brush flow can be changed to use the full range of pen pressure settings (which I only recently discovered), making it more tactile. like a real pen or pencil. I haven't fully explored all of the hardware applications yet, but so far, even with Photoshop's simple brush tool, I've been completely amazed at how this product expands my artistic skills and speeds up my painting process. I will keep updating as I learn more about it. Also keep an eye on the eyestrain - not sure yet, I think I developed eye pain from the first week of use. It wouldn't hurt to take breaks/exercises between drawings.
