Expensive - but OH IT'S THE SOUND!

As a musician and audiophile, it is very important to me to recreate sounds in their natural state. The quest for quality audio continues and whenever I get the chance to try quality headphones, I jump at the chance. I have literally dozens of headphones and earbuds, both wired and wireless. Most of them are useless. Of the ones I really liked (that is, the ones I actually use) the list is much shorter. Here they are: the Sennheiser HD280PRO is true studio quality. For the most discerning listener. I use them when recording in my home studio. Bose QuietComfort 20 Acoustic Noise Canceling Headphones Incredible sound with exceptional noise cancellation. That's what I take with me when I fly - they are wired - the cord could be a bit longer and I'd be very happy. Ultimate Ears SuperFi Pro 5 - wired headphones - very high quality sound - if only the cable were a few meters longer. I would use them a lot more. BlueAnt - Pump Zone - Great sound and very comfortable. Wireless communication with large battery capacity. I use them when I exercise in the garden. The Sony WF-SP700N/B are comfortable but sound weak - the only other wireless headphones worth listening to so far - although the sound quality is poor - particularly at low frequencies. which brings me to the B&O Beoplay headphones. These are by far the most expensive headphones I've ever owned and the obvious question is: are they worth it? Holy Moly, these things sound incredible! Definition and spacing are exceptional. All the details in the music sound very clear. Lightweight and exceptionally comfortable, you won't even notice you're wearing them - the music is just "here"! They come with a variety of attachments so you can find the most comfortable pair. In my opinion, the sound limitation is more related to the quality of the Bluetooth connection and some flaws in digital audio playback. I always copy my music in the highest sound quality and now I'm glad I did - you can hear the difference with these headphones. This is by far the best sounding and most accurate sound source I have ever heard. B&O prides itself on the design of its products as well as the sound quality and does not disappoint. The leather(!) case is attractive and has magnets to keep the earbuds in the best charging point. There's an indicator light to let you know the headphones are charging - there's a rechargeable battery in the case that lasts three charges for a total of 12 hours of use (3 x 4 hours). Another really cool thing about the case is that it charges with a Qi wireless charging pad. While you can connect it to a micro USB cable, you don't have to. The controls are minimalistic - pressing the left or right earbud turns them on, changes songs and increases/decreases the volume. It takes a little getting used to, but that brilliant sound is worth it. There is a companion app (Android or iOS - I have an iPhone) that allows you to change the sound quality (spaces). I've tried several times but really can't tell much of a difference. You can also add or remove music to background noise for increased situational awareness when paying attention to your surroundings is important. It doesn't really impress me. The beauty of the app is that you can manage other B&O products from the same app. There are other brands that require a separate app (sometimes more than one) for each product. The connection went smoothly and without any problems. For those who want the best sound reproduction in wireless headphones, I haven't seen this anywhere near!
