Polk Audio MagniFi Max SR Home Theater Surround Soundbar

If you like deep, clean bass like me then this is for you. My advice: first go to a Best Buy or electronics store and test out some of the soundbars. Because of the good reviews, I made the mistake of buying the first one. I ordered a Bose Solo 5 without even opening it. I went to Best Buy to see if the Bose was worth it. It was clear, but it didn't have the deep, clean bass that Bose typically delivers. I think I expected too much from a soundbar without a subwoofer. Bose's high-end soundbar sounded incredible, but the only problem was the price. $800 for the soundbar alone and $300 for the subwoofers. That doesn't count the speakers if you want full surround sound. I spent a few hours in the best shops just listening to the soundbars. From Sono, Vizio, JPL, Bose, etc. As I was getting ready to go out, I heard perfect sound when a Best Buy rep showed a customer a pair of soundbars. I returned to the area and started playing with this POLK MagniFi soundbar. They were exactly what I was looking for. Something not too cheap and not too expensive. I'm very picky about the sound quality. Like I said, I love deep clean bass. One that Bose usually offers but is a bit out of my price range. This Polk system was supposed to be in my room, so I figured $500-$600 would be enough. I recently installed my TV and this soundbar in my room and WOW! Only the soundbar and the subwoofer do their job. My girlfriend stayed the night and she was blown away by how good it sounded. Then I told her that you only hear the soundbar and subwoofer. I still need to sync the two rear speakers. She was even more shocked when she heard that. To be honest, I'm even afraid to use the rear speakers because the soundbar and subwoofer are quite powerful. I have a fairly large master bedroom, that's saying a lot. This system can easily become a large living room sound system. IT IS SO GOOD. I'll probably sync up and install the two rear speakers because I don't want them to go to waste. If you want quality sound and don't want to pay ยฃ1,000 for a sound system. DO YOURSELF a service and go to Best Buy and try it. At first I just bought a MagniFi Max soundbar and subwoofer. I canceled within an hour just to purchase the full package. I would save more than $100 if I just want to upgrade the speakers in the future. This Polk system costs just under $600 and I think it's just a steal. The only negative I can say about it is that there was no screw for the rear speakers and it is not compatible with Alexa. I know it's a cheaper Alexa-compatible version, but I don't want to sacrifice the sound quality. I wish this was Alexa compatible because I pretty much set up my entire house on Amazon. It's built into Chrome Cast, but I don't know or use it. Today, 4K LED TVs are cheaper than ever. It's all about the sound quality. Spend a little more on the sound because it will take your viewing experience to a whole new level. I've been without a sound system for so long and finally decided on one because I found myself turning on subtitles to read what was being said. This is no longer necessary as you can adjust bass, loudness and VOICE volume. If you ever find this system on sale, DO NOT HESITATE and give it a try. Update 07/15/19 I downgrade to 4 stars. The soundbar still works, but the two wireless rear speakers crackle or splash dirt. There was a firmware update on the Polk website, so I downloaded it. The cracking can still be heard. It is a pity that the firmware does not solve this problem. Clean deep bass is great for this thing.
