This shower head is everything! But I'll speak on behalf of pressure, not so much softness. My husband and I have been researching and sorting through various shower heads that can help improve our crappy 30-40 psi pressure that our shower produces. We have very hard water, similar to hotels except for the awesome smell of chlorine in the pool and the crappy water pressure. One day we came across a similar shower head so I started looking for others and finally settled on this one. While my water isn't as hard as it used to be, it definitely doesn't have the same effect as water does. a softening system that often makes you feel like the soap is still on you, even after you've carefully removed it from your body. So I don't mind. But, my god, what a pressure! It's everything I wanted and more! I no longer have the feeling of showering under three jets of water. To put that in perspective, I use a washcloth, and in front of this showerhead I had to let my washcloth hang under water while I did everything else to get the body wash out of it, as doing it by hand just wasn't worth it. . . endless toil. Now I literally squeeze it 3 times in the shower and it's done! All the soap is gone from my washcloth! The pressure is easily 20-25 psi higher than before. We made sure to remove the pressure regulator to feel what we were looking for. Buy it! You will not regret it!
