Review on 💡 Philips 9012CVB2 CrystalVision Ultra Upgrade Headlight Bulb, Pack of 2 by Matt Sirmons

Car: Ford Taurus Limited 2014 Bulb size: HIR2/9012 (9006 will also fit) Overall I like them. I took out one of my xenon bulbs and put it in. It's definitely whiter than standard halogen bulbs, not as white as xenon or LED bulbs - I didn't expect them to be like this. I have a HID 5000K kit in my car. It is white with no blue or yellow tinge. If 5000K is correct I would put it at 4200K-4700K. They're whiter than any Silverstar halogen bulbs I've seen, including the Ultra and XtraVision. I've never seen the Silverstar zXe. In projection headlights they give a nice even light pattern from left to right. When set up correctly you will have a clear line at the top of the light pattern. Bright lights are pretty good. With them you're likely to get more distant light, while with LEDs you'll get brighter and more diffuse lighting. Xenon lamp patterns seem to fall somewhere in between, tending towards better patterning and cleaner lines. They also don't last as long as xenon bulbs and not nearly as long as LEDs. However, they do most of what they say they do, but the "xenon look" is a little over the top. UPDATE: I had the opportunity to try Silverstar ZXE halogen bulbs. These are comparable to those. The ZXE might be a little whiter, but the Philips is a little brighter. Because halogens are naturally yellow, they must be coated with blue to make them appear white. The more opacity you apply, the whiter it appears, but you sacrifice brightness. Both ZXE and CrystalVision are very similar.
