Review on πŸ”Œ UL Listed Brush Wall Plate: Cable Pass Through Insert for Clean Wire Management - 2 Pack, White by James Vilchez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Well done, but the choice of mount is important.

The fibers are very stiff and appear to be of good quality. I didn't realize it until I installed it, but they use deep wall plates so it sticks out of the drywall more than a standard vessel with no deep wall plate. It doesn't really matter to me, but if you place it next to an outlet you'll find that it sticks out further and that might be a consideration. Also, the standard Carlon LV Old (orange) work mounts will not fit the wall plate. I had to cut about 0.5mm off the Carlon mount to get the wall plate flush with the wall. I really want it to come with regular flat head wall plate screws. The bracket that holds the fibers uses 4 clips. At some point during installation the clips became misaligned and I thought I broke them. I was able to plug it back in, but that might be an issue if, like me, you run a lot of cables through them. Although I don't see that as a problem.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Something different
