This is a very handy concept for measuring body parts. I would really like to rate 3.5. The quality could definitely be a bit better as it's plastic and chunky and the ribbon retract button can get stuck, but it definitely does the job. Holding a tape measure, which is typically used to sew around the thighs or biceps, also works, but this little trick makes it even easier. Since there were no instructions, I was a little confused and thought I had received a defective one, since the tape starts at 2 inches. that is exactly right. They need to improve the packaging, instructions and build quality but the idea is great and in the end it works. I also like that the standard strap has its own carrying case.
