I bought these to cover my wrists because I have arthritis and feel a lot better when they are warm. I was hoping for something lighter than the knitwear I have to wear in the summer (fans and air conditioning bother me). In that respect they are great. They're light, but enough to make a difference. I mostly wear them crumpled around my wrists (and get compliments for my "fashion statement"), but I can also wear them almost up to my arms. My arms aren't skinny by any means, and I really thought I probably couldn't, but I can. Please note when ordering. There is gray and gray jersey and black and black jersey. Knitted ones are heavier and don't stretch. I bought one of each and then reordered a few unknitted items. My friends have informed me that they are also good for Muslim girls who cover themselves. Just pull them up, you've got sleeves straight away.
