I've gotten many compliments on this dress. I am in my late 50's, and my figure has changed a lot from my early 50's. The open sleeves cover my arms but are cooler than a closed sleeve. The lining of the dress provides adequate coverage so that a slip isn't necessary. It's long enough to cover my thighs but short enough to be cute (I'm 5'7"). The loose A-line cut is figure-flattering. I have worn it to church, parties, shopping. it can easily be dressed up or down with the right shoes, jewelry, hat, etc. Generally I wear it casual with delicate (small) jewelry, a straw hat and wedges, and gets compliments every time.
