Really functional and well thought out night lights

I have several GE motion sensitive night lights and they work great when you need a really bright (40 lumens) light that turns on when you get close to it, but I wanted one too that it is smaller and less bright. This light does its job very well. And it also adjusts in a smooth gradient from practically off up to 20 lumens (and at full speed it's about twice as bright as the GE night lights I have). Also, you can turn it on or off at any time (which defeats the purpose), which can be useful in some applications the AI can't think of right now. Auto mode sensitivity is actually better than AI. GE light too. So it detects when the room is bright enough for you to see without turning on the light, better than GE light, which saves some energy. This is also one of the reasons why I prefer motion-sensitive nightlights over dawn-to-dusk nightlights. The latter, in my experience, tend to stay on most of the time, even if you can see around the room well without them, which defeats part of their purpose. We've found that with the combination of these motion-sensitive lights, we hardly ever have to turn on room lights (especially at night in the bathroom where we use GE night lights) and security is also increased because we're not moving in the dark, across the room or across walk down the dark hallway to our bedroom. This is where these MAZ-TEK night lights come in particularly handy, as they aren't so bright as to shock your eyes when they're on. They're smaller and have a lower profile than GE's night lights, so they fit better in tight spaces and are less likely to be bumped when moving objects, vacuuming, etc. Finally, they emit warm white light (2700 Kelvin). , not blue-white as another reviewer claimed, so it doesn't irritate your eyes like many previous LED night lights, especially if you want to dim them a bit. So they're great at night when you don't want to wake up too much on the way to the bathroom!
