Apollo Air+ looks and feels cheap but sounds good. The touchpads are clearly defined to avoid accidental touches. The noise cancellation isn't too bad and will certainly help reduce the noise around you, but even for the money there's better noise cancellation on the market. Call quality was clear but everything, including my voice, was picked up and heard by the people I spoke to. The sound doesn't change in ANC, ambient or passive mode, which is a huge improvement over the original Apollo released last summer. Air+ is compatible with SBC, AAC and APTX Adaptive codecs. The headphone selection is top-notch. I can walk through my whole apartment and part of the corridor right outside the door and leave my phone on the table. The ambient sound is realistic, but could be a bit louder. The sound is well balanced. There's a fun level of bass that can certainly get you tapping your toes, and the treble is paired with bass that adds that energy. The mids are defined, but some situations definitely need a boost. However, this overall melody complements some hip-hop, pop, EDM, rock, viola and metal. The case is small but cheap. It supports wireless charging which is a nice bonus. For the money, this is a good option, especially if energetic sound is a higher priority than noise-cancellation.
