I would like to say a few words about this product.1. My wife and I LOVE IT! Putting this on our bed was one of the best things we could do! Now we sleep much better, almost all pain is gone. I would NOT recommend buying a 4 inch topper if you already have a padded bed. We have a very hard mattress and I don't think we would feel as good as if it were softer, we would sink in more and it would be harder to move. If you have anything less than a "plywood hard" mattress, I recommend a thinner pad.3. I can't give this 5 stars because it needs a bit of "TLC/maintenance" to keep it in order, I'll explain: when you receive it, the instructions say to air it for 48 hours, we were able to let ours air out a little over 24. After a few days we noticed (as other people have complained) that it started to "flat out or have wrinkles/indentations" where they slept, the "maintenance" The one thing I mention is that every few days you rip off the blankets and sheets and "air out" them again to fluff them up again. Although our sheets have deep pockets, they were very tight when we placed them on our already thick mattress and then added another 4 inches and you could see them compressing the pillow leaving no air to expand again. What we found is that it takes a little "TLC", we put a sheet on our mattress UNDER the foam pillow and put our mattress topper and another sheet around the pillow itself, a bit of extra work and it looks a little weird . but it prevents the plates from permanently compressing the foam.
