installation instructions are excellent. This ballast is much lighter and significantly smaller than the old magnetic ballast I replaced, so in my case the original clamp screw had to be relocated. Luckily my mount had a hole in the exact spot for this ballast, but that hole was unthreaded. Instead of using a smaller bolt that would clear the hole, I simply threaded a 10-32 tap through the hole and then reused its original bolt and nut to attach the new ballast. A clearance hole is fine too if you have three hands (or if you have tape handy so the bolt doesn't pop out of the hole when trying to tighten the nut). You'll need extra wire nuts to connect the new ballast if you're replacing an old magnetic model, and you'll need to cut and strip some wires, so have the necessary tools handy for that. Depending on where your device gets its power from, you might need to connect a few extra cables to keep everything within reach. I simply cut the black and white wires off my original ballast next to the ballast and used these pieces to increase the power draw, which worked well. Look at the pictures in the instructions. Knit as shown in these pictures and you can't go wrong.
