I had high hopes for them, but not much considering how sensitive my ears are to materials other than solid gold. The earrings themselves are nice and sturdy, and the screw caps stay on well when you put them on (they're a little uncomfortable, but that's to be expected with the spherical backs of the earrings). The gold plating is of decent quality, hasn't faded or worn off in the time I've worn it. Unfortunately, my sensitive ears were still irritated and I had to remove them (earrings, not ears. I'm not excited enough to get full of Van Gogh). So my search for beautiful, affordable and unobtrusive earrings will continue. .However, I have no real complaints about the product or the quality and would recommend them to anyone who doesn't have ridiculously sensitive ears like mine.
