Summers are hot and muggy and they keep your face, neck and head cool. I always wear them when I leave my air-conditioned bedroom. Works great for washing dishes, cleaning, caring for my aunt who is in home hospice and taking the dog outside. They are quite quiet and blow a lot of air. The best thing I've bought in a long time. Be careful not to let your hair touch the blades or shirt. My shirt hit the blades and one of them broke halfway making them very noisy. I ripped it off with tweezers and they're a little louder than before the blade broke, but it's bearable.
