Keyword "slim". I'm a woman using this as a personal item to fly with. I find it annoyingly narrow at depth. Try not to wear shoes even at the bottom (except for the smallest heels or sandals). I only have one iPad, so padding for a laptop only adds weight and reduces available space. I LOVE the 3 ways to carry it so I'll leave the pocket. I also ordered an almost identical product in dark blue that lacked the three external pockets that are so handy on this model, so keep that feature in mind when comparing products. This can ONLY be good as a briefcase (minus cosmetic bag etc.) ONLY for a man.
