I love how they look on my dining table. They decorate the table and create a wonderful atmosphere. I have used the remote control and timer several times. I almost forgot it had a remote control because I didn't use it right after I bought it. When I did this I thought I'd have to turn it on and off every time I use candles. I thought, well, that's not so convenient. I wish it had a remote control. Then a few days later I looked on my bookshelf and saw that there really was a remote that I forgot. I was like a kid in a candy store. I programmed the light to turn off after 4 hours and now it automatically turns on and off at the same time every night so it doesn't blink aimlessly during the day when I go downstairs in the morning. It's nice to have ambient light in the kitchen/dining area, especially if someone enters the room at night when all the lights are off. You can rest assured that there is a "night light" to guide you to the light switch if you need it at all. At first they seem like just cheap plastic and not sure if that really helps, but for my needs it does. If I had to make any changes/improvements I'd work on a prototype that feels more like the original (this could drive up the price, so for those looking to save money and not bothered by a stricter aesthetic, it should still be the cheaper plastic option). I would also add a feature where it emits a slight smell when turned on. It would be cool! I would also add a "Flame" color option in case you want to play around with colors a bit, like these lightbulbs that change color. I would recommend it to a friend.
