One thing I was worried about was the king size not being big enough to hang over the sides like I wanted but it does! I have a boxspring & a regular (not super thick) mattress and it hangs down to the bed frame board on each side. I bought a somewhat cheap (>$50) Duvet Insert from Ebay & puffed it out some. I think it is plenty fluffy enough & wouldn't want it any heavier for the summer, but this Duvet cover has plenty of room if you wanted a thicker insert (or some people use 2) to make it extra fluffy. It is very soft and feels pretty luxurious so I'd say its a great price for the quality. My puppy, Ace, approves as you can see from the pictures. Before, when I just had a blanket on the bed, poor Ace had to sleep across 3 pillows to reach the level of comfort he obviously & so rightfully deserves. Now he can lay anywhere on the bed and be content. At first I foolishly tried putting an old blanket on top of the duvet to protect it from Ace, but he was not having that. He will ONLY sleep directly on the fluffy duvet now, so be forewarned, once you experience it, you may be unable to return to a less luxurious bedding.
