I use a DE razor and love it. I get great results 99% of the time I shave, but you know we always want more. So I started learning the technique of the razor. My barber uses my mustache and makeup, but I always knew I'd cut some big arteries if I tried to use them. But I've searched, read a lot of reviews and watched some videos on YouTube to learn more about it. So I narrowed down the choices and settled on this one. The razor is nice, but I didn't just buy it for the looks. So, I'm a beginner but the weight and feel was just right. Before purchasing I had other shavers in local stores and some felt the weight and others didn't. Maybe I'm wrong, but the ones I didn't feel the weight on scared me. Yet again. Maybe I'm wrong with this concept. So the first time I used the SRX to trim my mustache, I cut myself. Can you believe it?! I had to watch a few more videos to get the angle right, so I'm feeling better now. But newbies. This item goes where you send it. I'm not a pro but I think it's a good step for a beginner. I've used it about 4 times and I haven't cut myself since. For my current use, the SRX gets the job done. I will eventually get a full shave with this razor, but I respect the understanding and technique required to get the job done. I'm not there yet, but I'm sure this is the right razor to get me there.
