That's great! They won't block another outlet when plugged in and will detect motion more than 8 feet away.
I love these devices, a lot of them are sold under different brand names but they are all the same. They work very well, detecting movement from about 8 feet away and can only work in the dark. I hang them all over the house so I don't have to turn on the light at night when I'm walking around. They have 2 levels of brightness - I use the brightest on all of them. REALLY GOOD FOR THE BATHROOM - to avoid waking other people up in the middle of the night with the overhead light. My family members keep stealing the ones I have for their home (it's ok - I buy more)
