Fit: This strap is rubber. When set to the smallest it might fit my 5 year old. At max size and with elastic stretch, it fits me just above my hips which are 43 inches tall. I think a little tighter and it would be uncomfortable for me, but the way it fits now it's almost perfect. I wear pants that are a size 12 so I think if you wear pants larger than this size the tape may start to bind. Water Bottle Pockets and Holder: The water bottle holder seems to be designed for disposable water bottles. These are perfect for that. However, we use reusable bottles and my child's Nalgene bottles are pretty much the limit of what fits. I can put my hydro flask, which is a little larger than Nalgene, in the water, but it's difficult and takes a few minutes, it's easier to use a smaller flask. The zipped pocket fits a phone and nothing else (perhaps a credit card or other thin item like cash). Flashlight: Great that a flashlight is included. However, the bag pictured is not designed for this, so it doesn't sit very securely in it. If bumped or just working, the flashlight tends to just fall out. that's exactly what we were looking for. Instead of carrying water bottles for my kids when we go camping or to the zoo, now each of them has their own belt to hold their bottles.
