Review on MKC Professional Chrome Vanadium Hornbeam Woodworking: Exploring Durability and Precision Craftsmanship by Logan Tripp

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well designed and manufactured products made in America by a small independent company.

Received about a week ago. What I got was of much better quality than I expected for the price. The steel is great. All cutting edges are square, which is superior to some other branded products I've come across in the past. The edge is sharp with around 180-220 grit so they're ready to use, but there's plenty of room if like me you sharpen tools to get the exact edge you want without going to the store too have to . Grinding machine The handles are very well adapted to the steel, there are no visible gaps and play. The cross section of each handle is oval to fit comfortably in your left hand, the bevel points away from you to help you make a straight cut, and the edges along the full length of the steel are zero beveled for grip to facilitate every groove. square and smooth along the walls. I searched for information about the company and found that it is a small company with 6 employees in the US.
