Because of my job, I travel quite a bit. The last call (*cough someone's lack of planning cough*) has me working on the laptop in the truck more often than I'd like. I'm usually quite comfortable in a dusty but roomy 2010 F-150 Crew Cab Lariat 4x4 with a fold down 6th seat that doubles as a large flat center console. Of course, as long as I'm not parking in the scorching sun through the driver's window, remember to turn up the brightness on my laptop screen and take off my polarized sunglasses. In a fit of unproductivity (thanks Revane) I went looking for this. Product because my neck and back are tired of twisting to the right. Other colleagues of mine have worked hard and spent money to install a swing arm desk like those you see in a police car - this option was expensive, irritating to the eyes, had no storage at all and was just like anything else you'd get you have to do with the car. Half of them removed them due to inconvenience. I found this gem and figured I'd take a chance for less than $20. Boy am I glad I did. It fits my steering wheel perfectly, even with the steering wheel cover. It supports my laptop's weight and base size. It's tucked right in the gap between my seats, where it's barely visible and easily accessible. I just sit back completely and get to work. I got caught by a colleague and it was over, they had to buy it. This is my second as I even had to sell one. Don't get me wrong, I still prefer to work at my desk in my office, but this is the best option for field workers.
