Review on 🧊 Coleman Soft Cooler Bag: Ultimate Ice Retention for 24 Hours! by Luckie Davidson

Impressed with ice retention

I bought this cooler to take to a NASCAR race. For my fellow mechanics, the criteria were met to get into the grandstands of the RIR. For everyone else, this is a solid cool box for 2-3 people. I was able to fit 6 cans, 4 bottles of water, ranch dressing in a small container, a carrot, 2 packs of sliced cheese, and a turkey on top of this ice pack. The cooler kept the ice really cold. By 7:00 p.m. in southern April, there was still ice on the floor and the food was clearly still chilled. While the 24 hour claim is probably based on the fact that there was ALL the ice after that time, I had enough ice when I got back to the car and dumped it in a decent pile with no more than .75 per inch of water ( starting with half a bag). The belt didn't cut into my shoulder as I walked half a mile with a full load. The top has a gap of about 1 inch from the zipper to the top which really helps pack in extra ice. There have been no problems with leaks for 4 months of use. The only point of criticism, and this is purely subjective and personal, is the flap at the top. It is well fastened with Velcro around the perimeter. I just don't see how a small constant air intake/exhaust is any better than unzipping, taking out the drink and zipping it up. Maybe science says it's better to stay cold and warm, but I see it more as a convenience. So, FWIW, I don't like the lid. Either way, for a soft-wall portable cooler, you really can't beat these for camping, boating, NASCAR, sporting events, etc.
