Keep in mind that if you are using 5V you are technically charging at a higher voltage than Nintendo intended, but it seems most DS consoles using this connection can handle this very well, however make sure that you do some research beforehand.

Thin (I think it's because there are only two wires inside but I don't know) but still thicker than the original DS charging cable (it definitely only has two wires ). It definitely does the trick and powers my DSi XL.
