These are small good quality glass bowls, I would estimate around 4 or 5 oz each. Anyone who cooks a lot and follows the "mise-en-scène", i.e. the preparation (usually cleaning and chopping) of the ingredients before cooking, will enjoy it. They're a good size to hold a small amount of ingredients like minced garlic, scallions, scallions, onions, ginger and anything else you need for your recipe. They're wider and thinner than other shells I've had, which has some pros and cons, but mostly pros. These are a more practical shape as they are also great for storing individual portions of food such as candy, chips or anything you eat but don't want to eat straight from a bag or jar. Or this lonely tomato. The possible uses are really limitless. I put them in the dishwasher with no problems. A few broke along the way, but for any glass that gets a lot of use, that's normal. It's worth buying them by the dozen.
