I bought this because I needed a mobile charging station downstairs. It has three different amperages on the charging port: 2 at 2 amps, 2 at 1 amp and 2 at 0.5 amps. It charges my iPhone perfectly when I use it in the 2 amp slot, but it can't work with my iPhone and iPad at the same time. Basically it doesn't charge because both batteries slowly drain when I use them together. My Bluetooth headset charges well and quickly from the 1 amp port. I don't think it's just designed for heavy use.
