I read the negative reviews before buying. Most complaints were that the nose pieces were not adjustable and the hand grips were too tight. I decided not to rush the purchase as I wasn't expecting to compare them to a pair of $300 Persol readers. As mentioned the nose pieces were uncomfortable but can be adjusted, just gently press and flex to fit comfortably. I've also read complaints about a tight grip on the hand, and there have been, but these can be adjusted by placing the index finger on the inside of the hand just in front of the thumb, which is on the outside just behind the hinge. Apply gentle inward and outward pressure to keep the loop from loosening. With your other hand, place your index finger on the inside of your arm just before the bend and your thumb on the outside towards the hinge just in front of your index finger. Press slightly inward with your thumb and slightly outward with your index finger. Adjust until comfortable. If they should come loose, reverse the process. I've found these glasses work just as well as others that cost the same for a pair. I also found that they are lost the same way regardless of cost. I keep losing readers. For three dollars a pair, I put them all over the house, in the cars, on the boat, and in the store. I have recommended it to friends and family who are also happy with it. But for those who think they'll be ready to go out of the box, they'll be a disappointment to many. For those who can make a few simple adjustments they will fit comfortably and if you lose a pair it won't break the bank. I had a pair with a loose lens, the company responded quickly and offered a solution with no problems. So I'm happy with the customer service. For the price you can't go wrong.
