This is the only phone holder with a CD slot that fits my 2010 Lexus IS250 as the gear knob is very close to the CD player. I installed it in the leftmost CD slot and the switch doesn't touch my phone at all. Looks good and has a low profile from the dash so it looks sleek compared to those that stick out further from the dash. It's all plastic, I wouldn't over tighten the swivel knob because it looks like it could break. with excessive force. Hope it lasts long. There are soft pads that stick to the handles that fit into the CD slot and provide a good grip on the device. It doesn't feel like it will slip out with use. It snaps into place by pressing the two sides and once inserted into the slot, release the sides and it will snap into place automatically. The only downside is that you can't do it with one hand. It's the hands holding the phone that have springs squeezing them together (which holds the phone well), but this arrangement means one hand has to spread your arms while the other hand positions the phone. A small issue, but if you prefer a holder that you can close with one hand and release with the push of a button, this might not work for you. I'll update if anything changes, but for now it's working the way I wanted it to.
