I bought these hypoallergenic gold and silver hooks. Some people are allergic to other metals. I'm helping some ladies by trading their old ones for these. These gold ones are made of steel and plated with gold (allergic coating). I've been wearing them for a while and nobody's had any ear problems since I changed them.
