Review on 🧵 Prevent Fraying with Aleene's Stop-Fraying 4oz Solution by Jessica Lewis

On a nylon raincoat, I used Aleene's Stop Fraying to fix taped seams in the raincoat. The seam tape has partially detached in various places over the course of time. I removed all tape from all seams, loose or not, and applied Aleene Stop-Fraying to the inside and outside of all seams, concentrating on getting the product into the seams with a 1/4 inch overlap . On each side of the seams I used a small cheap childlike brush to get the application reasonably clean. I also sprayed waterproofing spray onto the breathable raincoat after the project was complete. Aleene product clings to nylon and will serve a dual purpose Purpose to prevent fraying of nylon edges coming out outside the seams and also prevents water from leaking through the seam holes. This is a great product and I am now completely confident that the raincoat will work and last as good as new. I dried in a downpour! It took me a while to apply an amount that could be flattened with material at once with drying intervals in between. But unlike Mother Nature, it was worth it!
