I have quite a few brushes, ranging from very cheap to medium ($200). You absolutely can't go wrong with the 10098. Whether you're just starting out with wet shaving or are a seasoned pro who doesn't have a good boar brush, this is a fantastic brush. While this brush needs to be broken open to get the full experience, it's not entirely useless with its first lather. I recommend soaking it in a glass of water a few times a day for a few days to help it break down a bit faster. It smells like wet pig (dog) but soaking gets rid of that too. The handle leaves something to be desired if you like high-end brushes. Visually it's pretty bad. At $10-15 it's a steal from a great foam manufacturer. Just buy it.
