Review on PEZAX Continuous Rechargeable 3100K 5500K Panasonic by Derrick Duck

Solid feel. metal body. The on/off buttons are embedded in a small velvet cover that protects the front panel. Was also covered in flimsy factory plastic so there were no scratches until it got here. I tried adjusting the temperature with the +/- buttons, it regulates smoothly. The intensity is also adjustable from 100% which I could use on a shoot or lower, the battery will probably last a lot longer. I am a big fan of video lights and initially wanted a different brand but always read negative reviews and some other video lights had reviews with words like weak or always died not good on arrival. I wanted a removable battery at first (some use the NF series, like Sony make a lithium-ion latch) but haven't seen one without other review issues like battery life or backlight issues. For a while I used Sony 10w and 20w video lights connected to huge lithium batteries, nf-950 I believe. LEDs give the same or more light, but less juice = less heat. This thing is very slick, like a cell phone, only with a cool Oled display that shows when you change the color settings. The metal frame has a tripod mounting hole and a 2 inch extension cable for using. I would just screw it into a monopod (the Hakuba 10 monopod is very ergonomic with a 360 swivel bolt). Sometimes someone else also holds the lights while we take close-ups. It's amazing how the colors of things get brighter with enough light, especially indoors or at dusk. I have two, I'll have to see how they hold up but I don't expect any problems. Comes with 3 colored plastic diffusers, neutral, blue and another that snap into place very easily leaving the side buttons accessible. The product manual appears to be well written and in multiple languages. They appear to be on par with other manufacturers selling for a lot more. world class stuff. Good job folks!
