The latch that was received did not have finger handles to open and close the sliding door. It is a smooth surface that is difficult to grab and hold to move the door. The points designed to pierce the screen aren't strong enough to maintain contact and hold both sides together with just one central screw. I had to accelerate both sides together with small screws. I ended up going to Home Depot and bought two handles which I attached to each side of the new handle to make it easier to move the patio door back and forth. bad deal
