After doing some research and looking for small hands while testing this antenna I decided to try it myself. Some of the reviews sound like they're coming from people living in a city not far from the TV towers. I live 50 miles from a big bunch of digital TV signals, which isn't really that far. With that said, I opened the box to find an aesthetically pleasing fully enclosed antenna and wall plate with a power injector. After a few hookups and powering up, I installed this antenna on the outer deck about 4 feet up the railing, went inside and started scanning for channels. After about 15 minutes, the TV was playing 38 channels/sub-channels, all crystal clear with no distortion. This first test was successful. (READ MORE) However, the actual test of the antenna mounted on the roof of my camper is still pending. streets. The RV drove north. After carefully removing the old antenna, which only provided 1-2 channels on a sunny day with no wind on level ground, the OmniPro omnidirectional antenna was installed. I replaced the old power injector board with the one that came with the OmniPro, made all connections (double and triple check for correct connections), applied power and ran a channel scan. It's a 360 degree antenna, right? (I thought to myself) so it should pull from all sides. Well, I double-checked all my connections just to be sure. All connections are correct, so I did another channel scan. Same result, 1 channel coming in and out with 20 other channels with so much pixel distortion I couldn't see. According to the website I use to determine how many channels I should get, there should be 7 net channels with 24 sub-channels. Okay, I was still skeptical, thinking maybe I was too far away and not in the most ideal conditions for TV signals. After moving to higher ground, head up winding hilly roads for about 8 km to a flatter, west-facing campsite. I did a channel search. Almost the same result, except I got 1 more input and output channel. The latest opinion on the King OmniPro omnidirectional antenna is tantamount to saying that at 50 miles as tested at my home there was nothing at all. I had a motorhome with a Winegard Sensar II that performed better than this one, although I had to adjust it manually by physically rotating it. However, manual fine-tuning is not possible with the Keystone RV, which does not take any consumer features into account, since the entertainment center is placed in the middle of the antenna. That's a completely different assessment. The King Omnipro omnidirectional antenna didn't live up to my expectations and at $89 I felt cheated. I only give it one star because it was able to clearly connect the channels in my house. These are my results and may differ from yours, please bear this in mind when purchasing.
