As the title suggests, I bought this because I was moving to a table that is against a wall and my existing mount didn't allow me to move the monitors back together and then there would be a big gap. I had no issues with the mounts and was able to tighten them enough that I could manually adjust the monitors without tools and they stayed in place. The part of the screw that goes under the table is positioned so that with my 1" thick table top I couldn't move the bracket to the nearest holes and the bottom ones weren't close enough. I fixed this by using a 2x4 put a piece of wood under the table and tightened it.
