Easy to assemble. The foam layer that goes inside is so big I thought it wouldn’t fit inside, but I squished it around and zipped it up. The Fabric outer layer can be removed and washed, as for the foam but I’m not sure if it can be washed. A lot of reviews here say this is not an orthopedic bed as stated in the title product. They are correct. It’s just a regular foam bit layer like the ones that hold eggs. Personally I don’t mind as my dog is only 2 years old and has multiple beds, I replace them every couple months/yearly, but if your dog is older or has health issues please know this is NOT AN ORTHOPEDIC BED! It’s soft, squishy, yet firm. I got it for my 12 lbs. Shihtzu and he loves it, especially the little entrance. I recommend this bed unless you want one for orthopedic purposes.
