The wig was knotty and wavy when it arrived but I figured I'd find a way to straighten it even if it would kill me to try. I watched videos on YouTube and just warm water and Downey in a spray bottle and it instantly relaxed me. Dousing the wig with boiling water sealed the deal. Straight hair. I then took it to my stylist and she cut it to fit my son so he could wear it for the school wax museum. I also used the curling iron after drying it with a heat spray and curling it up nicely. Everyone loves the wig. Note. The glasses don't come with the wig and you definitely need a wig cap.
