DO NOT use original Nintendo screws when assembling.

Amazing stuff. The fit and finish are on a whole different level than the original shell. Combined with a pair of skull shaped grips, my WHITE shifter looks and feels sooooo good. A couple of notes if you plan on doing this yourself: the old screws are very brittle and the plastic mold isn't pre-threaded so you're more likely to rip the screws off when I put them back in place. Use the screws included in the kit, they are better than the original screws. Be prepared to buy another set if you screw up. I had the previously mentioned problem and had to hack and force break the shell. Had to order another joycon skin to fix this. Thankfully, none of the internal components broke. You don't need to unplug the ribbon cables. As long as you are careful and gentle, you can do all of this by simply unscrewing and reassembling all the pieces. I don't recommend changing the riser as the trigger board seems to be stuck to it. The black gasket around the analog stick is not required for proper operation. Mine didn't stay behind and I just left without it. This is probably done just to improve protection from water and dust. If you get that clam, you're probably too compulsive to let it happen anyway. There's a handy menu in the options to test all the buttons to make sure everything's working. I found that one of my triggers was not properly connected this way. When unplugging ribbon cables, watch a video on how to do it correctly. It's like a little mousetrap.
